What made you start reading this novel?

A fellow student suggested reading another book in this series. I was also interested in the history of WW1 in this book as I have never read anything about that period

A novel about the relationships of loved ones seperated by the ruthlessness of The Great War, in which even art students join the army.

What makes this novel interesting?

You see friendships falling apart by something so great that everyone immediatly gets used to it. Everyone enlists and you’re frowned upon when you don’t. No one has even heard of each other’s previous profession.
