What caused you to read the novel? What did you like about it?

I saw the movie once on TV and I really liked it, so I wanted to read the novel as well.

Pi leaves India in the midst of him growing-up. Eventually he grows-up at sea with a tiger.

What makes this novel interesting?

I find the relationship between man and animal very beautiful in this novel, and is clearly present. Namely, Pi says he would have gone mad without the animal.
