What caused you to read the novel? What did you like about it?

I started reading this book because my teacher recommended it to us and I thought the story sounded very interesting. I really enjoyed reading the novel because it was different from ‘regular’ novels. There are no chapters, which creates a kind of out of the ordinary pacing.

The Road is a novel about a father and his son trying to survive in a desolate wasteland, trying to get to the coast

What makes this novel interesting?

The fact that there are no chapters, which makes it a seemless story. Furthermore the setting is well thought out and is used correctly by the writer, using its challenges to drive the story forward.
