What caused you to read the novel? What did you like about it?

I started reading this novel when we were discussing the movie at philosophy. I thought this novel was really special in a way of describing life in a totalitarian state and the feelings of the main character.

I think what makes this novel interesting is the way it shapes a scene of totalitarian state like it could happen in our time, and really goes deep in the thoughts of the main character.
